SOAN 2019 General Election is scheduled to hold as follows:
Date: 26th March 2019
Venue: The Avenue Suites, 1390 Tiaimuyi Salvage Street Victoria Island Lagos.
Time: 11 am
The positions to be vied for at the election are as follows:
(i) President
(ii) 1st Vice President
(iii) 2nd Vice President
(iv) Financial Secretary/ Treasurer
(v) Chairman Technical Committee
(vi) Chairman Training and Capacity Building Committee
(vii) Chairman Ethics and Privileges Committee
(viii) Chairman Finance and Membership Committee
Qualifications for Elective Offices
As stipulated under Article 7 of the Association’s Constitution:
“A Candidate wishing to contest for election into any of the offices of the Association must satisfy the following conditions:-
a. Be a registered member of the Association for atleast 1 year.
b. Be a financial member
c. Be an active participant in the affairs of the Association.
Kindly submit your duly completed form to the Secretariat on or before Friday 15th March, 2019.

SOAN aim by this Conference and Exhibition to provide a platform for Government and its agencies, regulators, and stakeholders in the logistics, maritime and shipping industry, the IOCs and indigenous players to debate policy formulations and a forum to create alliances.
Furthermore, it is a key platform for Nigerian Content Development, which as indigenous ship owners, we actively support. With the increased focus on local ship building in the near term, the attendant investment and development opportunities are innumerable.
We hope to be a catalyst in showcasing this and contributing to Continental, National and regional multilateral trade
Theme of the event is “Shipping, Global Economy and National Development.”.

i) Day one, 27th November 2019 - Opening ceremony, Conference and Exhibition.
ii) Day Two, 28th November 2019 - Conference, Exhibition and Gala night.
